I have thoroughly enjoyed your photographs and have learned a lot about Wiesbaden, the home of my in-laws. Thank you for sharing your art.

Ich lebte in Wiesbaden von Julie 1942 bis 2. Februar 1945 wo ein Teil #
Wiesbadens im Bombenangriff in Flammen aufging; wie auch Webergasse 3
direkt neben dem Nassauer Hof.
Since 1957 I been living in USA, now in Burbank, CA.
Manny, manny times I returned and spent a couple of weeks retracing
my youth. Wiesbaden used to have a lot of charm but much of it is now
lost to “progress” pitty. How those old trees in front of the Kurhaus
had to be removed for an underground parking lot of all profane reasons
shows the disregard for old Wiesbaden. The type of people just
hanging around Langgasse Kirchgasse smoking pot and smelling of sweat
make me decide never to return again. I just keep my memories.

I used to live in this wonderful city, and I miss it dearly.
Thank you so much for helping me remember it.
Vielen Dank!
I lived in Wiesbaden all my life. I just recently packed my stuff and moved to California (LA area)! It’s nice to have a website to go to. It helps the moments when you miss home and I am proud to show of “my CITY” - thanks for this site!
Your pictures of Wiesbaden are beautiful and I so enjoyed viewing them.
I lived there from 1964-67 and again in 1975-76. We lived in Raunheim
and on the air base in the 60’s. The second time we were stationed there,
my father worked in Schierstein and we lived out in Hahn-Taunusstein. I
loved seeing some of the old landmarks. I remember especially the duck
pond in the park….the little “duck” house is still there. Wonderful!
Excellent Website, beautiful images.
Thank you.
